1. (a) Except as provided in subsection (b), "drug" has the meaning set forth in IC 16-42-19-2 . It does not include devices or their components, parts, or accessories, nor does it include food.

2. (b) For purposes of IC 35-48-4 , "drug":

   1. (1) has the meaning set forth in subsection (a); and
   2. (2) includes a controlled substance (as defined in section 7 of this chapter) and a controlled substance analog (as defined in section 8 of this chapter).
