1. (a) This chapter does not apply to the use of a corpse for:

   1. (1) scientific;
   2. (2) medical;
   3. (3) organ transplantation;
   4. (4) historical;
   5. (5) forensic; or

   6. (6) investigative;

      purposes.

2. (b) This chapter does not apply to:

   1. (1) a funeral director;
   2. (2) an embalmer; or

   3. (3) an employee of an individual described in subdivision (1) or (2);

      engaged in the individual's normal scope of practice and employment.
