Ind. Code § 34-7-8-2

Emergency orders do not create a new cause of action

As added by P.L.166-2021, SEC.12.

An order or a recommendation issued in response to or arising from a state disaster emergency declared under IC 10-14-3-12 to respond to COVID-19 by:

  1. (1) the governor or a state agency;
  2. (2) the executive of a city, town, or county;
  3. (3) a local health official or local health department; or
  4. (4) an agency of the federal government;

    does not create a new cause of action against any person with respect to the matters contained in the order or recommendation.
