1. (a) The Indiana judicial center shall maintain a roster of in-state facilities that have the expertise to provide child services (as defined in IC 31-9-2-17.8 ) in a residential setting to:

   1. (1) children in need of services (as described in IC 31-34-1 ); or
   2. (2) delinquent children (as described in IC 31-37-1 and IC 31-37-2 ).

2. (b) The roster under subsection (a) must include the information necessary to allow a court having juvenile jurisdiction to select an in-state placement of a child instead of placing the child in an out-of-state facility under IC 31-34 or IC 31-37 . The roster must include at least the following information:

   1. (1) Name, address, and telephone number of each facility.
   2. (2) Owner and contact person for each facility.
   3. (3) Description of the child services that each facility provides and any limitations that the facility imposes on acceptance of a child placed by a juvenile court.
   4. (4) Number of children that each facility can serve on a residential basis.
   5. (5) Number of residential openings at each facility.
3. (c) The Indiana judicial center shall revise the information in the roster at least monthly.

4. (d) The Indiana judicial center shall make the information in the roster readily available to courts with juvenile jurisdiction.
