Ind. Code § 31-9-1-2

Inapplicability of definitions

Except as otherwise provided, the definitions in this article do not apply to the following:

  1. (1) IC 31-11-3 .
  2. (2) IC 31-21 (or IC 31-17-3 before its repeal).
  3. (3) IC 31-18.5 .
  4. (4) IC 31-19-29 .

  5. (5) IC 31-37-23 .
