- (a) A town election board or circuit court clerk conducting a municipal election under IC 3-10-7 may not include the name of a candidate nominated by a town convention on the municipal election ballot if the person files a notice to withdraw with the board or clerk.
(b) The notice to withdraw must:
- (1) be signed and acknowledged before an officer authorized to take acknowledgments of deeds;
- (2) have the certificate of acknowledgment appended to the notice; and
- (3) be filed with the board or clerk no later than noon three (3) days following the adjournment of the convention.
