1. (a) Not later than the close of one (1) business day after a person files a declaration of candidacy in the office of the election division or circuit court clerk, the election division or circuit court clerk shall send a statement to the candidate by:

   1. (1) hand delivery;
   2. (2) first class United States mail; or
   3. (3) electronic mail.
2. (b) The election division or circuit court clerk shall send the statement (or a scanned copy of the statement, if the statement is sent by electronic mail) to the mailing address or electronic mail address set forth in the declaration of candidacy.

3. (c) The statement must show the following:

   1. (1) That the candidate has filed a declaration.
   2. (2) The name of the candidate.
   3. (3) The office for which the individual is a candidate.

   4. (4) The date on which the declaration was filed.
