The board is comprised of the following five (5) members:

1. (1) The county chairmen of the major political parties of the county shall each appoint two (2) members of the board. Members of the board appointed under this subdivision:

   1. (A) must be voters of the county; and
   2. (B) serve a term of two (2) years or until their successors are appointed.
2. (2) The circuit court clerk, who is an ex officio member of the board.
