The voters appointed to the absentee voter boards under section 36 of this chapter shall be compensated in the following manner:

1. (1) The boards that are sent to voters under section 25 of this chapter are entitled to a per diem set by the county executive and a sum for mileage at a rate determined by the county fiscal body.
2. (2) The boards that are assigned to the circuit court clerk's office during the period from thirty (30) days before election day through the day before election day are entitled to a per diem set by the county executive.

3. (3) The boards that are assigned to deliver the absentee ballots to the precincts on election day are entitled to a per diem and a sum for mileage at a rate determined by the county fiscal body.
