1. (a) Each county election board shall give notice of a general election and publish a statement in accordance with IC 5-3-1 showing what offices are to be filled and setting forth the text of the judicial retention and other public questions to be submitted to the voters and by filing a copy of this information:

   1. (1) with the election division; and
   2. (2) in the minutes of the county election board.

2. (b) The county election board shall file the copies required under subsection (a) not later than noon, ten (10) days before election day. However, an election is not invalidated by the failure of the board to perform this duty.
