Ind. Code § 27-8-14.3-8

"Nationally recognized clinical practice guidelines"

As added by P.L.37-2024, SEC.2.

As used in this chapter, "nationally recognized clinical practice guidelines" means evidence based clinical practice guidelines that:

  1. (1) are developed by an independent organization or medical professional society that:

    1. (A) uses a transparent methodology and reporting structure; and
    2. (B) has a conflict of interest policy;
  2. (2) establish standards of care informed by:

    1. (A) a systematic review of evidence; and
    2. (B) an assessment of the benefits and risks of alternative care options; and
  3. (3) include recommendations intended to optimize patient care.
