1. (a) A policy of motor vehicle insurance (as defined in IC 27-1-22-26.1 ) that:

   1. (1) is issued by an insurer to an insured to comply with the financial responsibility requirements described in IC 9-25-4-5 ; and

   2. (2) is issued or renewed after June 30, 2017;

      must provide at least twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) of coverage for damage to or destruction of property in any one (1) accident.

2. (b) This section expires December 31, 2019.
