1. (a) As used in this section, "faculty" refers to a group of individuals who are employed to administer and teach in a nursing program.

2. (b) Beginning July 1, 2022, the majority of employees on the faculty of a nursing program that:

   1. (1) is operated by a state educational institution, as defined in IC 21-7-13-32 ; and

   2. (2) predominantly issues associate degrees;

      may be part-time employees of the educational institution or hospital that conducts the nursing program.

3. (c) The board of nursing may adopt rules under IC 4-22-2 to implement this section.
