Ind. Code § 25-22.5-2-1
The medical licensing board of Indiana is created. It shall consist of seven (7) members, not more than four (4) of whom shall be members of the same political party. The members shall be appointed by the governor, and all vacancies occurring on the board shall be filled by the governor. The membership of the board shall consist of the following:
(1) Five (5) reputable physicians who:
(C) hold valid unlimited licenses to practice medicine in Indiana;
shall serve for terms of four (4) years each.
(2) One (1) reputable osteopathic physician who:
(C) holds a valid unlimited license to practice osteopathic medicine in Indiana;
shall serve for a term of four (4) years.
(3) One (1) member to serve a term of four (4) years who:
(C) is in no way associated with the medical profession other than as a consumer.
