1. (b) After filing the statement, the secretary of state shall mail one

   1. (1) copy to the limited partnership at the office referred to in section 3(a)(1) of this chapter.
2. (c) The agency appointment is terminated on the thirty-first day after the date on which the statement was filed.

Sec. 4. (a) A registered agent may resign the agency appointment by signing and delivering to the secretary of state for filing the signed original statement of resignation.
