1. (a) The commission shall do the following:

   1. (1) Annually determine for each state educational institution:

      1. (A) the percentage of students enrolled in the state educational institution who are charged tuition based on the resident tuition rate; and
      2. (B) the percentage of students enrolled in the state educational institution who are charged tuition based on the nonresident tuition rate.
   2. (2) Report the information determined for each state educational institution under subdivision (1) to the budget committee and the legislative council before December 1 of each year. The report to the legislative council must be in an electronic format under IC 5-14-6 .
2. (b) A state educational institution must submit to the commission any information needed by the commission to determine the percentages under subsection (a).
