1. (a) The governing body of each school corporation or the equivalent authority for each charter school, eligible school (as defined in IC 20-51-1-4.7 ), or state accredited nonpublic school is entitled to acquire at no charge from the department:

   1. (1) the statewide assessment; and
   2. (2) the scoring reports used by the department.

2. (b) A state accredited nonpublic school or an eligible school (as defined in IC 20-51-1-4.7 ) shall:

   1. (1) administer the statewide assessment to its students at the same time that school corporations administer the test under section 7 of this chapter; and
   2. (2) make available to the department the results of the statewide assessment.
