1. (a) The state board shall accredit a school that:

   1. (1) becomes a charter school under IC 20-24 ; and
   2. (2) complies with the requirements under IC 20-24 .
2. (b) An authorizer (as defined in IC 20-24-1-2.5 ) of a charter school is responsible for ensuring that the charter school is in compliance with applicable legal standards as determined by the state board.
