"Cryptocurrency"

As added by P.L.49-2026, SEC.1.

"Cryptocurrency" means a virtual currency that:

  1. (1) is not issued by a central authority;
  2. (2) is designed to function as a medium of exchange; and
  3. (3) uses encryption technology to:

    1. (A) regulate the generation of units of currency;
    2. (B) verify fund transfers; and
    3. (C) prevent counterfeiting.

      The term does not include payment stablecoin.
