"Cryptocurrency"
As added by P.L.49-2026, SEC.1.
"Cryptocurrency" means a virtual currency that:
- (1) is not issued by a central authority;
- (2) is designed to function as a medium of exchange; and
(3) uses encryption technology to:
- (A) regulate the generation of units of currency;
- (B) verify fund transfers; and
(C) prevent counterfeiting.
The term does not include payment stablecoin.
