1. (a) As used in this article, "health care personnel" means the following:

   1. (1) A nurse aide (as defined in IC 16-28-13-1 ).
   2. (2) A registered nurse or licensed practical nurse licensed under IC 25-23 .
   3. (3) An advanced practice registered nurse licensed under IC 25-23 .
   4. (4) A qualified medication aide certified under IC 16-27.5-4 .
   5. (5) A home health aide.
   6. (6) A physician assistant licensed under IC 25-27.5 .
   7. (7) Except as provided in subsection (b), any other individual licensed or authorized by the state to provide health care or professional services to residents or patients of a health care facility.
2. (b) The term does not include a physician licensed under IC 25-22.5 .
