Effective 1-1-2023.

1. (1) Determine whether the child has had a blood lead screening test.
2. (2) If the child has had a blood lead screening test, determine at what age the child was tested and the results of the blood lead screening test.

3. (3) If the child has not had a blood lead screening test and is:

   1. (A) at least nine (9) months old; and

   2. (B) less than seventy-two (72) months old;

      offer a lead poisoning screening in accordance with guidance and standards established by the state department under section 10 of this chapter.

   3. (b) Nothing in this section shall be construed to require a parent or guardian to have their child receive a blood lead screening test.
   4. (c) This section expires December 31, 2026.

Sec. 11. (a) A health care provider who provides health care services to a child who is less than six (6) years of age shall do the following:
