1. (a) A hospital's quality assessment and improvement program under 410 IAC 15-1.4-2 must include a process for determining and reporting the occurrence of serious reportable events, as identified by the National Quality Forum.
2. (b) The executive board may not require a hospital's quality assessment and improvement program to determine and report any other types of events that are not described in subsection (a).
3. (c) The executive board may adopt rules under IC 4-22-2 to implement this section.
