Ind. Code § 15-15-1-8

"Hybrid"

As added by P.L.2-2008, SEC.6. Amended by P.L.82-2026, SEC.6.

As used in this chapter, "hybrid" means the first generation of a cross produced by controlling the pollination, which will produce pure seed which is at least seventy-five percent (75%) hybrid seed, and by combining:

  1. (1) two (2) or more inbred lines;
  2. (2) one (1) inbred or a single cross with an open pollinated variety; or
  3. (3) two (2) selected clones, seed lines, varieties, or species.

    Hybrid designations shall be treated as variety names.
