1. (a) If the department approves an application under section 6 of this chapter, the department shall issue to the applicant a carbon sequestration project permit.

2. (b) When the department issues a permit, it shall also issue a certificate that contains the following information:

   1. (1) The date the permit was issued.
   2. (2) A description of the area containing the carbon sequestration project.
   3. (3) Any additional information the department deems appropriate.
3. (c) The department shall file a copy of the certificate with the county recorder in the county or counties in which the storage facility is located.
