Ind. Code § 14-29-6-9

Rules to designate rivers

As added by P.L.1-1995, SEC.22.
  1. (a) Based upon the study and recommendations of the director, the commission may adopt rules under IC 4-22-2 to designate a river for inclusion into the system.
  2. (b) Before adopting rules, the director shall do the following:

    1. (1) Notify each adjoining or abutting landowner of the plans and recommendations by registered mail.
    2. (2) Conduct a public hearing in the county that contains the largest section of the river being considered.
