Ind. Code § 13-17-5-5.4

Number of inspection stations in certain counties

  1. (a) This section applies to the following counties:

    1. (1) A county having a population of more than eighty thousand four hundred (80,400) and less than eighty-two thousand (82,000).
    2. (2) A county having a population of more than one hundred twenty thousand (120,000) and less than one hundred thirty thousand (130,000).
  2. (b) For the purpose of determining the number of inspection stations operating in a county under this subsection, a temporary or portable inspection station counts as an inspection station. After July 1, 1997, the department must maintain in a county under subsection (a) an equal or greater number of inspection stations as were operating in the county on July 1, 1996.
