After complying with sections 2 through 8 of this chapter, the board may, at the board meeting held under section 5(a)(3) of this chapter:

1. (1) adopt a rule that is identical to the proposed rule published under section 5(a)(2) of this chapter;
2. (2) adopt the proposed rule with amendments that meet the criteria set forth in section 10 of this chapter;
3. (3) recommend amendments to the proposed rule that do not meet the criteria set forth in section 10 of this chapter;
4. (4) reject the proposed rule; or

5. (5) reconsider the proposed rule at a subsequent board meeting in accordance with IC 4-22-2-26 (d).
