Ind. Code § 10-13-5-4

"Missing child"

As added by P.L.2-2003, SEC.4. Amended by P.L.92-2026, SEC.3.

As used in this chapter, "missing child" means a person less than eighteen (18) years of age who:

  1. (1) is, or is believed to be:

    1. (A) a temporary or permanent resident of Indiana;
    2. (B) at a location that cannot be determined by the person's parent or legal custodian; and
    3. (C) reported missing to a law enforcement agency;
  2. (2) is, or is believed to be:

    1. (A) a temporary or permanent resident of Indiana; and
    2. (B) a victim of the offense of criminal confinement ( IC 35-42-3-3 ) or interference with custody ( IC 35-42-3-4 ); or
  3. (3) is, or is believed to be, a high risk missing person (as defined by IC 5-2-17-1 ).
