A security interest that is enforceable immediately before July 1, 2024, but is unperfected at that time:

1. 1. remains an enforceable security interest until July 1, 2025;
2. 2. remains enforceable thereafter if the security interest becomes enforceable under section 554.9203, as amended by 2024 Iowa Acts, ch. 1023, on July 1, 2024, or before July 1, 2025; and

3. 3. becomes perfected:

   1. a. without further action, on July 1, 2024, if the requirements for perfection under 2024 Iowa Acts, ch. 1023, are satisfied before or at that time; or
   2. b. when the requirements for perfection are satisfied if the requirements are satisfied after that time.
