1. 1. The position of state public health dental director is established within the department.

2. 2. The dental director shall perform all of the following duties:

   1. a. Plan and direct all work activities of the statewide public health dental program.
   2. b. Develop comprehensive dental initiatives for prevention activities.
   3. c. Evaluate the effectiveness of the statewide public health dental program and of program personnel.
   4. d. Manage the oral and health delivery systems bureau including direction, supervision, and fiscal management of bureau staff.
   5. e. Other related work as required.
