Patent and proprietary products and sacramental wine

- 1. This chapter does not prohibit the sale of patent and proprietary medicines, tinctures, food products, extracts, toiletries, perfumes, and similar products, which are not susceptible of use as a beverage, but which contain alcoholic liquor, wine, or beer as one of their ingredients. These products may be sold through ordinary wholesale and retail businesses without a license or permit issued by the department.
- 2. This chapter does not prohibit a member of the clergy of any religious denomination which uses vinous liquor in its sacramental ceremonies from purchasing, receiving, possessing, and using vinous liquor for sacramental purposes.
