Rule 672-12-.07. Airport Development Program
- (1) Scope and Purpose. Airport capital improvement projects eligible and justified to receive federal funding under the Federal Aviation Administration Airport Improvement Program.
- (2) Terms and Conditions. Provides State Grants for Non-Federal share of the project costs based on the Criteria for Award set forth in subpart (4) of this Rule.
- (3) Eligible Recipients. Publicly owned, Open-To-The-Public Airports, including general aviation (non-primary), and non-hub and small hub commercial service (primary) airports. Medium and large hub commercial service (primary) airports are not eligible.
- (4) Criteria for Award. Federally funded projects are reviewed per Federal Aviation Administration guidance and selected based eligibility, justification, project readiness, and available federal and state funding.
- (5) Directions and Deadlines. Applications are received by the Georgia Department of Transportation Aviation Programs office. Applications shall be submitted during the annual call for project applications and 5-year capital improvement program update, typically the month of November each year, for consideration of funding in the following fiscal year. Applications received outside the annual call will be reviewed but project funding is not guaranteed.
