¹20.14 Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.--

There is created a Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

1. (1) The head of the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is the Commissioner of Agriculture.

2. (2) The following divisions of the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services are established:

   1. (a) Administration.
   2. (b) Agricultural Environmental Services.
   3. (c) Animal Industry.
   4. (d) Aquaculture.
   5. (e) Consumer Services.
   6. (f) Dairy Industry.
   7. (g) Food Safety.
   8. (h) Forestry.
   9. (i) Fruit and Vegetables.
   10. (j) Marketing and Development.
   11. (k) Plant Industry.
   12. (l) Standards.

3. (3) Bureaus may be established as deemed necessary to promote efficient and effective operation of the department, pursuant to s. 20.04.

   ¹Note.--Section 7, ch. 99-245, provides that "[t]he Bureau of Marine Resource Regulation and Development at the Department of Environmental Protection, and the positions assigned to the bureau effective February 1, 1999, are transferred to the Division of Aquaculture within the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services by a type one transfer, as defined in s. 20.06(1), Florida Statutes. Water quality data collected by the Division of Aquaculture with the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services are to be shared with the Division of Water Resource Management within the Department of Environmental Protection."
