The purpose of this electrical code is to provide certain uniform minimum standards, regulations, and requirements for safe and stable design, methods of construction, and uses of materials in electrical wiring, apparatus, or equipment used for light, heat, or power which will afford reasonable protection for public safety, health, and general welfare.
