1. (1) Objective: To use professional manicuring implements, supplies, procedures, in shaping and polishing the nails.

2. (2) Learning Objectives:

   1. (a) To describe nail structures;
   2. (b) To describe nail irregularities;
   3. (c) To identify nail diseases;
   4. (d) To identify the basic types or artificial and sculptured nails and nail extensions and their uses;
   5. (e) To use safety precautions and sanitation methods in manicuring, pedicuring, and extending the nails;
   6. (f) To describe chemicals and products.

3. (3) Performance Objectives:

   1. (a) To give a manicure;
   2. (b) To give a pedicure;
   3. (c) To give a massage of the hands and feet;
   4. (d) To extend nails.
