1500.1 The District of Columbia Retirement Board ("the Board") is established as an independent agency of the government of the District of Columbia pursuant to §121(a) of the District of Columbia Retirement Reform Act of 1979 (93 Stat. 866, Public Law 96-122).

1500.2. The Board shall have exclusive authority to manage and control the Funds established by of the District of Columbia Retirement Reform Act of 1979 (D.C. Code §1-711(a) (2001)).
