1701 NOMINATING PETITIONS
1701.1 The information required on petition forms for national committee persons and local party members and officials shall be as follows:
- (a) The front of each page of the petition shall contain the name and address of the candidate(s), the ward (where applicable), and the office(s) to which the candidate(s) seek election;
- (b) The front page shall also state that all of the signatories to this petition must be of the same political party as the candidate;
- (c) If the candidate is running from a ward, the front page shall also state that all of the signatories to the petition must be registered in and residents of the ward from which the candidate seeks election; and
- (d) The back of each page of the petition shall contain the name, address and telephone number of the person circulating the petition.
1701.2 No nominating petition sheet shall be issued by the Board unless the person requesting the petition complies with the following:
- (a) Includes the name of the candidate(s) in all appropriate spaces on the petition; and
- (b) Strikes all "blank" spaces in the candidate(s) name section of each petition sheet such that no additional names may be appended to the petition page.
1701.3 Nominations for the offices of local party officials or members of local party officials or members of local committees elected at-large may be on one nominating petition.
1701.4 Nominations for the offices of local party officials or members of local party committees, to be elected in a single ward, may be on one nominating petition; Provided, that all the candidates stand for office only in the same ward.
1701.5 Nominations for the offices of national committeeman, national committeewoman, and the alternates may be on one nominating petition; provided, that no individual is nominated for two (2) or more offices that could not be occupied simultaneously by the same person.
