1508.1 Write-in candidacies for President and Vice President of the United States are permitted in accordance with the provisions of this section.
1508.2 To petition the Board for authorization to have pollwatchers and count observers on election day, a write-in-candidate shall file with the Board, on or before 4:45 p.m. of the fourteenth (14th) day preceding the day of election, a Declaration of Candidacy and Affidavit of Qualifications on the form prescribed by the Board.
1508.3 A write-in candidate for President and Vice President of the United States shall file with the Board of Elections and Ethics on or before 5:00 p.m. the seventh (7th) day preceding the day of election his or her list of nominees (appointees) for the office of presidential elector on the forms prescribed and provided by the Board of Elections and Ethics, pursuant to the Constitution and statutes of the United States and District of Columbia, if he or she is to qualify as a write-in candidate and have the assistance of poll watchers and count observers on election day.
