5500.1 This chapter establishes the standards and procedures under which Medicaid beneficiaries are enrolled and disenrolled from the District of Columbia (District) Medicaid Managed Care program (managed care) pursuant to section 1932a(1)(A) of the Social Security Act (Act) 42 USC §§ 1396u-2(a).

5500.2 After the Department of Health Care Finance (DHCF or the Department) and its agents or designees determines an applicant to be eligible for Medicaid in accordance with Chapter 95 of Title 29 of the District of Columbia Municipal Regulations (DCMR), the Department may determine the individual’s enrollment in accordance with § 5501 of this chapter.
