3435.1 Services not covered as MHRS include:

1. (a) Room and board residential costs;
2. (b) Inpatient hospital services, including hospital, nursing facility, intermediate care facility for individuals with intellectual disabilities, and institutions for mental diseases;
3. (c) Transportation services;
4. (d) Educational, vocational, and job training services;
5. (e) Services rendered by parents or other family members;
6. (f) Social or recreational services;
7. (g) Screening and prevention services (other than those provided under Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment requirements);
8. (h) Services that are not medically necessary;
9. (i) Services that are not provided and documented in accordance with these certification standards;
10. (j) Services that are not behavioral health services as described in these rules; and
11. (k) Services furnished to persons other than the consumer, when those services are not directed primarily to the well-being and benefit of the consumer.
