8910 PUBLIC ACCESSIBILITY TO TRADE NAME RECORDS

8910.1 The Department shall maintain a comprehensive trade name database of all registered trade names that shall be available to the public.

8910.2 The Department shall maintain an index of true and real names cross-referenced to trade names and an index of trade names cross-referenced to true and real names.

8910.3 Upon request and the payment of fees as specified in section 8911 of this chapter, any person may request a search of the trade name database.

8910.4 Each person that requests information contained within the trade name database shall be provided access to the database to determine any of the following information:

(a) Person or persons conducting business under a trade name;

(b) Registered agent or resident agent;

(c) Registered trade names;

(d) Firm names;

(e) Legal owner names;

(f) Verification of business existence;

(g) Phone number; and

(h) Mailing address

8910.5 The Director shall provide for the preservation, storage, record management, and access to trade name records.
