Conn. Gen. Stat. § 21a-227
(a) When any health club is closing or transferring its place of business to another location, the health club shall:

History: June 30 Sp. Sess. P.A. 03-6 and P.A. 04-169 replaced Department of Consumer Protection with Department of Agriculture and Consumer Protection, effective July 1, 2004; P.A. 04-189 repealed Sec. 146 of June 30 Sp. Sess. P.A. 03-6, thereby reversing the merger of the Departments of Agriculture and Consumer Protection, effective June 1, 2004; P.A. 24-142 substantially amended Subsec. (a) including by providing that closing or transfer notice shall be in writing, redesignating existing provisions re notice to Department of Consumer Protection, current members and prospective members as Subdiv. (1)(A) to (C), adding Subdiv. (1)(B)(i) and (ii) re timing of notices to current members, deleting former Subdiv. (4) re publication of notice in newspaper of general circulation, adding new Subdiv. (2) re posting notice on health club's Internet web site and premises, adding provision re provision of electronic copy of notice to department, and making technical and conforming changes, effective June 6, 2024.
