1. (a) No person shall engage in, practice or offer to perform the work of an environmental health specialist, as defined in section 20-358, unless such person is licensed pursuant to section 20-361.
2. (b) No person shall use the title of licensed environmental health specialist unless such person is the holder of a current license issued by the commissioner under the provisions of this chapter. A holder of a current license may append to his or her name the letters “R.E.H.S.”. Any certificate granted by the commissioner prior to October 1, 1995, shall be deemed a valid license permitting continuance of practice subject to the provisions of chapter 395.
