1. (a) Automotive parts. For the purpose of calculating the RVC of an automotive good provided for in section 16(10) of Appendix A to this part, the producer of the automotive good may average its RVC calculation pursuant to the provisions set forth in sections 16(5) and 16(10) of Appendix A to this part.
2. (b) Other vehicles. For the purpose of calculating the RVC of a motor vehicle provided for in sections 20(2) or (3) of Appendix A to this part, the producer of the automotive good may average its RVC calculation pursuant to the provisions set forth in sections 16(5) and section 20(6) of Appendix A to this part.
3. (c) Averaging election not required. The producer of the automotive good is not required to file an RVC averaging election with CBP when averaging the RVC pursuant to this section.
