1. (a)

   1. (1) A person commits the crime of directing a child to engage in sexual intercourse or sodomy if he or she knowingly entices, allures, persuades, induces, or directs any of the following to engage in sexual intercourse or sodomy with another person:

      1. a. A child under 12 years of age.
      2. b. A child 12 or more years of age, but less than 16 years of age, provided the child is two or more years younger than the other person.
   2. (2) Directing a child to engage in sexual intercourse or sodomy is a Class A felony.

2. (b)

   1. (1) A person commits the crime of directing a child to engage in sexual contact if he or she knowingly entices, allures, persuades, induces, or directs any of the following to engage in sexual contact with another person:

      1. a. A child under 12 years of age.
      2. b. A child 12 or more years of age, but less than 16 years of age, provided the child is two or more years younger than the other person.
   2. (2) Directing a child to engage in sexual contact is a Class B felony.
