1. (a) The following fees apply to requests to the department's food safety laboratory for laboratory analysis and testing conducted under 18 AAC 34.125(c) - (f) and (h):

   1. (1) paralytic shellfish poisoning (PSP) for

      1. (A) marine snails or other animals: $125 for each sample;
      2. (B) geoducks: $125 for each sample; and
      3. (C) live crab for export: $125;
   2. (2) domoic acid: $100 for each sample;
   3. (3) other marine toxins: $54 per hour of laboratory time;

   4. (4) microbiology:

      1. (A) aerobic plate count (APC): $30 for each sample;
      2. (B) presumptive coliform: $17 for each sample;
      3. (C) confirmed coliform, total or fecal: $17 for each sample;

      4. (D) Escherichia coli

         1. (i) (non 0157:H7): $17 for each sample;
         2. (ii) (0157:H7): $17 for each sample;
      5. (E) Staphylococcus aureus: $50 for each sample;
      6. (F) Salmonella spp.: $70 for each sample with a minimum of four samples or $80 for each sample with no minimum;
      7. (G) Listeria spp.: $35 for a negative or presumptive-positive test, and an additional $15 for each additional procedure to confirm positive identification;
      8. (H) Vibrio spp.: $75 for a negative or presumptive-positive test, and an additional $75 to confirm positive identification;

   5. (5) chemistry:

      1. (A) water activity: $10;
      2. (B) water phase salt: $30;
      3. (C) salt: $20;
      4. (D) moisture: $10;
      5. (E) nitrate: $120;
      6. (F) nitrite: $30;
      7. (G) sulfite: $120;
      8. (H) heavy metals and elements: $50, plus $10 for each sample of each metal or element;
      9. (I) mercury, total: $75 for each sample;
      10. (J) histamine: $100 for each sample;
      11. (K) indole: $75 for each sample;
      12. (L) ethanol: $75 for each sample; and
      13. (M) pH in food products: $20 for each sample;

   6. (6) miscellaneous:

      1. (A) organoleptic: $50 per hour; and
      2. (B) adulteration: $50 per hour.

2. (b) The department may conduct analyses after normal state working hours as follows:

   1. (1) after normal working hours, except as provided in (2) of this subsection, the charge will be one and one-half times the standard sample charge set out in this section; and
   2. (2) on a Sunday or holiday, the charge will be twice the standard sample charge set out in this section.
