Section 1. Definitions.

“Committee” means committees established by the Division to provide support and serve in an advisory capacity to the Division.

“Division” means the Division of Victim Services within the Office of the Attorney General.

“Director” means the Director of the Division of Victim Services.

Section 2. Advisory Committees.

The Director of the Division shall establish Advisory Committees to assist the Division in carrying out its mission.

1. (a) All appointments to the Committee shall be made by the Division.
2. (b) Resignations by members of the committee shall be made to the Director.
3. (c) Vacancies. Barring unusual circumstances, vacancies on the committee shall be filled within forty-five (45) days after the Director is advised of the vacancy.
4. (d) Meetings. The Committee shall meet a minimum of once per quarter.
5. (e) Duties. The Committee shall make recommendations to the Division regarding the following:
6. (i) Grant allocations and appeals;
7. (ii) Strategic and long range Division planning;
8. (iii) Compensation;
9. (iv) Other business as requested by the Director.
