Repealed.
[Editor’s note. – This section was repealed by virtue of the Landowners Protection Amendment, proposed by House Joint Resolution No. 113, Acts, Regular Session, 1992, p. 1623; and ratified November 3, 1992. This section, prior to its repeal, read: “The former owner of any such land shall be entitled to received the excess of the sum for which the land may be sold over the taxes charged and chargeable thereon, or which, if the land had not been forfeited, would have been charged or chargeable on, since the formation of the State, with interest at the rate of twelve per centum per annum, and the cost of the proceedings, if his claim be filed in the circuit court that decrees the sale, within two years thereafter.”]
