As used in this article, the following terms have the meanings ascribed to them:

1. (a) "Board" means the West Virginia board of licensed dietitians;
2. (b) "Commission on dietetic registration" means the commission on dietetic registration that is a member of the national commission for health certifying agencies;
3. (c) "Fund" means the board of examiners for dietitians' administrative fund created pursuant to the provisions of section five of this article;
4. (d) "Licensed dietitian" means any person who has obtained a license to practice as a licensed dietitian from the West Virginia board of licensed dietitians;
5. (e) "Medical nutrition therapy" or "nutrition therapy" means nutritional diagnostic assessment and nutrition therapy services for the purpose of disease management; and
6. (f) "Registered dietitian" means a person registered by the commission on dietetic registration.
