W. Va. Code § 16-5-7

Appointment and removal of local registrars and deputy local registrars.

  1. (a) The State Registrar may appoint one or more local registrars and deputy local registrars, and may assign them to one or more registration districts.
  2. (b) The State Registrar may remove a local registrar or a deputy local registrar for reasonable cause.
